YMCA ENDOWMENT FUND
The YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties Endowment Fund allows friends of the YMCA to celebrate our past and prepare for our future. Those individuals who make a commitment that will add to the principal of the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties Endowment Fund are considered members of our Heritage Club. These financial commitments can be delivered now, or in the future.
The Heritage Club strengthens the YMCA’s mission to enhance the spirit, mind, and body of all persons through quality leadership, programs, services, and facilities, and has served Cass and Clay counties for generations. From the YMCA’s humble beginning as a gathering place for railroad crews and new immigrants in 1886, its impact is felt in the lives of more than 50,000 people today, including more than 20,000 children.
A growing number of YMCA members and friends have joined the YMCA Heritage Club by incorporate gifts into their financial and estate planning. Fund distributions benefit various YMCA programs and projects, which are chosen by volunteers serving on our Endowment Board. There are currently over 200 Heritage Club members that are dedicated to supporting the YMCA’s mission and future.

Your Contribution
Your generous contributions make the YMCA what it is now, and what it will become tomorrow. Your gift helps fund many expenditures, including:
- Scholarships for Youth Programming
- Scholarships for Child Care and Camp
- Assistance and equipment for individuals with disabilities
- Facility improvements
- New building projects
- Ensuring a future for the YMCA
How to Join
A variety of gift programs qualify you for Heritage Club Membership:
Insurance – You can designate the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties Endowment Fund, Inc. as the owner, primary or contingent beneficiary of a new or existing insurance policy.
Will Bequest – You can name the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties Endowment Fund, Inc. as a recipient of a percentage of your estate, or another specified amount.
Charitable Trust – You can set up a gift with life income retained by you or your beneficiaries, with the remainder of the trust asset eventually passing to the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties Endowment Fund, Inc.
Outright Gift – You can give a direct gift and designate it to support a specific program or area, or in the form of a memorial gift, given in memory or honor of someone.
How to Get Started
It’s a good idea to talk with your accountant or estate planning attorney to determine how you may benefit from making a particular gift, or to find out what rules and/or guidelines exist. There are many other types of trusts, pooled income funds, and other vehicles that can benefit you as your strive to accomplish your charitable goals. One of these options could be a good fit for you and the YMCA.
