Why cycle at the YMCA?
We strive to provide energized cycle classes that get you moving, motivated, challenged and plugged into our community. Our Keiser M3i Series Cycle Bike feature Bluetooth compatibility and align with the mSeries mobile app to track your performance.
Before You Go:
To prepare for your next cycle class, arrive early, wear comfortable moisture-wicking clothing, bring a water bottle and towel and be sure to hydrate.
At the Studio:
Arrive Early: Give yourself time to settle in, adjust your bike, and get comfortable before class starts.
Bike Setup:
Seat Height: Adjust your seat so that when one pedal is at the lowest point, your heel can comfortably rest on the pedal.
Handlebar Position:
Adjust the handlebars so that when you're standing and clipped in, you can comfortably reach them with your fingertips.
Warm-Up:
Do some light stretching or pedaling before class to prepare your body.
Pace Yourself:
Listen to your body and don't push yourself too hard, especially in your first few classes.
Adjust Resistance:
Follow the instructor's cues, but adjust the resistance as needed to match your fitness level.
Stay Hydrated:
Drink water throughout the class to stay hydrated.
Stretch:
Do some stretching after class to help with recovery.
