PlayTown Drop-In Child Care

For up to two hours per day, kids ages 6 weeks through 8 years can play in a safe, fun environment while their parents work out! No reservations required.

PlayTown usage is included with all Family/Household Package memberships! 
Memberships are $114/month, and include care for up to two hours per day for all children on the membership. PlayTown usage is also included in military membership types.

Member Rates
YMCA members without a Family/Household Package membership type, Nationwide members, and Family Wellness members are welcome to stop by the Member Services Desk to purchase two hours of PlayTown usage for $14/child.

Additional Fees
Pick-Up: $5/every 10 minutes past pick-up or closing time. Late fee may be assessed if parent arrives after two-hour limit.

At this time, non-members and guests are not able to utilize PlayTown.

PlayTown Rules & Guidelines

• Care is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. For the safety of the children in our care, during busy periods we may not be able to accommodate your child.
• Parents/guardians must remain in the building while their children are in our care.
• To keep PlayTown allergy-friendly, snacks are not allowed.
• PlayTown is a screen-free zone! We'll be having tons of active fun, so please leave all phones, tablets, etc. at home.
• Children are encouraged to bring their own labeled water bottle. Bottles of milk/formula are to be prepared, labeled and dated in a sanitary bottle.
• Families must provide their own diaper and wipes - due to sanitary reasons, we only use disposable diapers.
• Bring a clean set of clothing with your children in case of an accident.
• Please have all personal belongings labeled with child's name.

PlayTown is available for children 6 weeks up to 6 years old.
Our experienced staff provides personalized attention to each child and engages them in educational activities designed to stimulate their minds and bodies.
Activities include: coloring, music, building, games, storytime, etc. Staff help kids learn their colors, numbers, and sounds, all while your children are playing and having fun.

PlayTown usage is included with all Family or Single Adult + Family memberships! 

Payment: PlayTown is provided as a free value-added service for our Single Parent Family and Family Membership Categories. All Other Membership Types and Non-Members will be charged a $5 per child per visit. Punch cards may be purchased at the Member Services Desk in amounts of $20 and $40.

Payment may also be made for that day at the Member Services Desk. If you are a Non-Member, please show PlayTown staff your punch card upon signing your child in.

• Care is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. For the safety of the children in our care, during busy periods we may not be able to accommodate your child.
• Number of children limit:
  • Max of 3 infants in PlayTown (Non-Walking).
  • Max of 12-15 children in toddler/school age area (all pending of the ages of children in PlayTown at the time).
  • Staff may have to turn you away if there are too many children. We will do our best to accommodate members and guests but our number one priority is to keep the children safe. During busy times please be considerate of others and limit your workout times if you can.
• Parents/guardians must remain in the building while their children are in our care.
• Diapering/Toileting: We ask that you provide your own diaper and wipes for your child. When dropping off your child, please take them to the restroom, change diaper if needed and communicate when you last fed/diapered your child. YMCA staff does not change diapers, if child needs to be changed, we will page you over the intercom system to come to PlayTown and change your child.
• Health Exclusion Policy: Please do not bring your child to PlayTown if they are not feeling well. If they have a fever of 100 degrees for higher, please do not bring them. Children are welcome back once their fever has dropped below 99 degrees for 24 hours without aid of medication. If you are in doubt, we ask that you keep them at home.
