YMCA Aquatics
YMCA Swim Schools at Fercho and Fergus Falls YMCAs take a safety-first approach, focusing on small class sizes, boosting confidence in the water, building student/instructor relationships, and allowing each student to progress at their own pace. Our lessons develop aquatic readiness, engage in underwater exploration, and teach children important water safety skills. We offer warm water options, year-round lessons, certified instructors, and more!
The YMCA provides swimming lessons to swimmers of all ages and skill levels, from infants to adults! We also offer private lessons, semi-private lessons, and adaptive lessons for swimmers with special needs.
Fercho YMCA
Roger & Betty Anda Aquatics Center
The Anda Aquatic Center at the Fercho YMCA includes three separate pools:
- Six-lane Lap Pool
- Small Warm Water Pool
- Zero-Depth Kids’ Pool.
Both lap swim and open swim are available. We also have a climbing wall and starting blocks available in our Lap Pool. Additionally, if you’re interested in learning lap swimming basics, getting workout ideas, or want to learn how to use aquatics equipment, join us for our weekly Intro to Lap Swim course – FREE for members!
The Fercho Swim School is a Level 2 Autism Friendly Partner, where our YMCA swim instructors receive Autism Friendly Community Training through the North Dakota Autism Center. Our instructors are excited to provide a welcoming environment for swimmers of all abilities.
The Fercho YMCA also offers adaptive programming, services, and equipment for those with special needs.
With lap swimming, open and family swim times, water exercise classes, swim lessons, FM Gators Swim Team, and more, the YMCA provides an enjoyable outlet of aquatic fun and fitness for the entire family!

The Fergus Falls YMCA pool is a four-lane 25 meter pool available for lap swim, water exercise, and swimming lessons. The Fergus Falls Swim School offers weekly 30-minute lessons focusing on aquatic readiness and safety, taught by certified instructors for all ages and skill levels.
